Crystal Ann Trayer's Speech
Good Afternoon, my name is Crystal Ann Trayer. I am married and have two kids. I can relate to blue collar workers, because I used to work in a popular Italian restaurant and white collar workers because I am currently a lawyer. I went to Harvard University and Yale University. I also am in the Libertarian Party. It is also identified by many as the third fastest growing political party in the United States. My party believes in freedom of speech, crime control, gun control, and privacy
And now, our standing point in freedom of speech, we believe that everyone should be given unrestricted rights to this matter. I believe anyone should be able to have freedom of speech, as well. Anyone should be able to say anything they want. Whether you want to say, “I like green beans!” or “My grandma likes to eat pineapples.” you should be able to say it.
On to the next topic, crime and violence, an approach to criminal justice and crime control that is smart, compassionate and tough. The Libertarian Party is the party of personal responsibility. We believe that anyone who harms another person should be held responsible for that action. If anyone is to harm and/or kill someone else, they will be in a big, huge Kerfuffle with me. For those of you who don’t know, a Kerfuffle is a great deal of trouble.
And, I’d like to tell you, our views, about Gun Control. We believe that the private ownership of firearms is part of the solution to America's crime epidemic, not part of the problem. Everyone should have the right to protect their lives by owning a firearm. A firearm is a gun that is used for self-defense and only self-defense. Gun ownership, by itself, harms no other person and cannot morally justify criminal penalties. That means, if you own a gun, then it doesn’t mean that you are just going to go and harm anyone.
Our last topic for today is Privacy. I believe other people’s privacy should be a private thing to the government. Hence it being ‘Privacy’. Other peoples’ property and/or things that should be private should be restricted from the government. Therefore, all things belonging to one are not to be fully exposed to the government.
Thank you for your time. Vote for me, Crystal Trayer, for President.
